Equipment Mechanic
Mountain States Contracting has a full time position open for an equipment mechanic. (railroad experience preferred) This position requires a CDL, and involves extensive travel throughout the Western US. Applicants with a poor driving or safety record need not apply!!



Track Workers and Roadway Maintenance Machine Operators
Mountain States Contracting has openings for Track Workers and Roadway Maintenance Machine Operators. Track workers and equipment operators work as members of a gang to build, repair, and rebuild railroad track, and must follow MSC safety policies and programs, as well as State and Federal Regulations. Applicants with a poor driving or safety record need not apply!! These positions require extensive travel throughout the Western USA. Travel is compensated, but must have own vehicle. Tasks include track construction, installation of rails, ties switches, and other track materials, using tools and equipment, maintenance and repair of equipment, and other duties as assigned. Positions require frequent walking on uneven surfaces; standing extended periods of time; lift/carry and push/pull equipment and other objects weighing up to 75 lbs; bending, stooping and kneeling.
